The terms, which are provided by WIPO, are all pre-approved for international applications in the Madrid System. They have been added to the 65,000 terms in the ETMDN Harmonised Database, which are pre-approved by all EU national and regional IP offices and translated into 23 languages. They are available in all OHIM’s online services: the five-step form, the advanced form, the Goods and Services Builder and TMclass. Further terms from Madrid Goods and Services will be added to the Harmonised Database in the future. The addition of the Madrid terms should make it easier for CTM users to expand their rights internationally using the Madrid System. Using terms from the Harmonised Database means applications can be processed quicker and more smoothly in national offices and OHIM.
