Support for SMEs: understanding the importance of IP

A number of new resources dedicated to small and medium-sized enterprises are available via the OHIM website.

In particular, OHIM along with the members of the European Trade Mark and Design Network have produced a tool that provides training for SMEs on the importance of IP rights. In addition, OHIM and the EPO have published online the first part of their IP Teaching Kit. MARQUES members might also like to know that the EU Observatory has a dedicated information section for SMEs, with guides, e-learning resources and video testimonials, and that the IP Academy provides an E-Learning Portal, which aims to train SMEs about the importance of IP rights.
