This year’s Conference takes place between 13 and 24 September in a hybrid format.

Virtual registration enables you to join all of the sessions without leaving your own desk.

It includes all the plenary sessions (which will be broadcast to TV standard), webinars (which take place from 20 to 24 September) and online networking events.

Both physical and virtual participants will be able to obtain certificates of attendance for CPD/CLE purposes.

Programme Highlights

This year’s Conference features a packed programme with a great range of speakers. A few highlights include:

• good and bad behaviour in the trade mark arena - filing strategies, bad faith and trade mark trolls
• enforcement options – the merits and disadvantages of tools such as Customs and criminal actions
• digital challenges – how brand owners and marketplaces can effectively work together to protect IP rights and consumers
• how can you control how your brand is used post-sale? A practical approach to advertising, third-party use and emerging issues

We are delighted to have speakers from organisations including EUROPOL, EUIPO, Heineken International, Coty Beauty, Amazon, Procter & Gamble, Sandoz, the BOIP and the UK IPO.

Waiting List

When you register for virtual attendance you can tick a box to join the waiting list for physical registration, should additional places become available.

It is possible that further physical places will become available if social distancing rules are relaxed and/or people already registered are unable to attend.

Those on the waiting list will then be offered places for the physical meeting on a first-come, first-served basis, so sign up as soon as possible to secure your place on the list.

Welcome to The Hague
The in-person parts of this year’s Annual Conference will be taking place at the World Forum in The Hague, the Netherlands.

The city is known as the city of peace and justice and is home to the Peace Palace, which is now the seat of the International Court of Justice, as well as some 160 international organisations. It is also the seat of the BOIP and EUROPOL, and the programme includes a site visit to the latter.

Reflecting this heritage, the theme of this year’s Annual Conference is “Peace and Justice for Brands”.
