WIPO is hosting a number of webinars that may be of interest to MARQUES members. Plus: Director General Francis Gurry has presented his annual report		On 29 April, Willem Leppink, who heads the MARQUES Anti-Fraud Task Force, and Alessandra Romeo, MARQUES External Relations Officer, joined the 5th Anti-Scam Network Meeting, led by EUIPO. MARQUES was also represented at the EUIPO User Group Meeting held on the same day

Resolving licensing disputes There are two webinars on resolving licensing disputes, hosted by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center, on Thursday 7 May. Both of these are in English. The first is from 10:00 to 11:00 and the second from 17:00 to 18:00. Find out more here. Madrid System The programme on the Madrid System now includes webinars in five languages (English, French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian). In addition to three webinars held during April, which are now archived, there are four planned for May covering topics including The Madrid System for Newcomers, Filing an international application, dealing with corrections and Madrid System online services. Information on all these webinars, including date, time and language details, can be found here. Director General briefing WIPO Director General Francis Gurry presented his annual review of activity in a video broadcast on 7 April. The broadcast covered the annual results, programme highlights and challenges for 2020, including the COVID-19 pandemic. The broadcast can be accessed on the dedicated page on WIPO's website, which also includes statistics on filing trends in the Madrid and Hague systems in 2019.
