The Conference covered topical issues and recent developments in all areas of IP in Europe. It included judges, Boards of Appeal members, professors, in-house counsel and IP attorneys.
MARQUES editor James Nurton gave a speech on "25 years of the Board of Appeal" at the Gala Dinner and moderated a panel on intersecting IP rights in culture, fashion and entertainment.
Other MARQUES members who took part were Laetitia Lagarde of Global Blue, who spoke about transitioning into the green zone; Verena von Bomhard of Bomhard IP, who talked about vintage marks; and Imogen Fowler of Hogan Lovells (and Chair of the MARQUES Brands and Marketing Team) who spoke on comparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
