UKIPO: "Trade Marks Law Section" to be called "Trade Marks Tribunal Section"
Subscribers to the UKIPO's TMD Notification e-mail service today received the below message from Raoul Colombo, Head of Trade Mark Law Section:
"This message is to advise you that Trade Marks Law Section will change its name as from 1 October 2008 to the Trade Marks Tribunal Section. The change of name is as a result of the coming into force of The Company Names Tribunal with effect from 1 October 2008. As proceedings before the tribunal will be administered by Law Section staff and adjudications will be determined by Trade Mark Hearing Officers it has been agreed that the name of the section should be changed to reflect the range of duties which will now be undertaken."
