Swedish Patent and Registration Office: "certified quality"
In its press release of 28 November 2007 the Swedish Patent and Registration Office (PRV) reports that is has become the first intellectual property office in the world which had its whole operation quality certified.
According to the PRV's website:
"... the decision to work towards an ISO certification was taken in 2006 when the office decided that it wished to increase the possibilities to attract new customers seeking a high quality supplier, says Lars Björklund, acting Director General. We wish to be at the top among offices operating in our field of work regarding short delivery times with high processing and searching quality as well as organisations working to develop intellectual property issues."
Further information can be found on the PRV's website.
