Portugal: Implementation of Project Seniority
With the help of the OHIM's Cooperation Fund, the Portuguese Institute of the Industrial Property (INPI) has just implemented the Project Seniority, a project to strenghten the application of seniority effects at national level.
From now on, the INPI online database will include information regarding trade mark seniority and a direct link to a trade mark to which seniority is claimed.
You can find the INPI press release bellow:
"Portuguese Implementation of Project Seniority
Portugal was the first country to implement the Project “Seniority” being a successful example of the good cooperation between National Offices and the OHMI Cooperation Fund. This project aims to harmonize the seniority data between OHIM and National Offices and improve the data accuracy and customer satisfaction.
