Now it's even easier to meet those judges!
Here's a quick reminder of a forthcoming MARQUES event which you might have wanted to attend, only to find that it was scheduled to take place at the same time as a very attractive AIPPI Meeting (the details of which are given below). Fortunately, AIPPI UK have kindly agreed to reschedule their meeting for 8 December 2011, thus enabling intellectual property experts and enthusiasts to attend both events (which of course we hope they will!):

QUESTIONS FOR THE TRADE MARK JUDGES
Wednesday 16th November 2011, 17.30 - 19.30 hrs, Followed by a Drinks Reception
UCL Cruciform Lecture Theatre 1, Cruciform Building Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT

MARQUES, the European Association of Trade Mark Owners and UCL’s Institute of Brand and Innovation Law invite you to meet some UK and Alicante judges that are regularly deciding our trade mark disputes.

The panel, chaired by The Rt. Hon. Sir Robin Jacob (Sir Hugh Laddie Professor of Intellectual Property Law, UCL), will answer and debate a series of pre-selected questions from the audience. To submit a question that you wish the panel to discuss please email your question to UKJudges@marques.org. Please note questions must be submitted by no later than close of business on Wednesday 26th October 2011.

Registration Fee: £30 (+VAT)

The AIPPI event, "The 'Star Wars' Case: perhaps no longer in a Court, Far, Far Away?", is hosted by Bristows, 100 Victoria Embankment, London. The speakers are Michael Bloch QC and Alan Bryson (Wilberforce Chambers). Registration. Click here for further details.
