Portugal implements Enforcement Directive

Portugal's IP Rights Enforcement Law (16/2008) has now entered into force, having been officially published on 1 April 2008. A short article on this law, which implements Directive 2004/48 on the enforcement of intellectual property rights, appears in the subscription-based World Trademark Report (Manuel Lopes Rocha, AM Pereira Sáragga Leal Oliveira Martins Júdice E Associados, "IP Rights Enforcement Law enters into force - at last").
