"Kraški med" gains EU protection
The latest GI to gain protection in the European Union is governed by Commission Implementing Regulation 751/2013 of 29 July 2013 entering a name in the register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications (Kraški med (PDO)).  What, you may wonder, is Kraški med? It's a Slovenian honey, Class 46 has discovered.

According to our information, a good deal of skill and patience is required in produding Kraški med -- but it's not apparent whether this skill and patience comes from the honey's commercial producers, from the bees, or indeed from both.
