At the end of October, rather more than a month after this year's MARQUES conference in Copenhagen, Denmark ("Traditional Brands in a Digital Market", details here), ERA's Annual Conference on Trade Marks and Designs in Europe 2014 ("Latest case law and EU legislative developments") takes place in Alicante on 30 and 31 October 2014. While this is not a MARQUES event, it is being run in conjunction with our friends at OHIM and features a number of MARQUES stalwarts on the programme, which you can read here.

ERA. the Academy of European Law, has a long and distinguished track record in organising events on IP, competition law and other areas of vital importance for the efficient functioning of the European Union.

As a special attraction, there are some judges and dispute-resolvers on the programme too: Gordon Humphreys (Member of the Boards of Appeal OHIM), Nicholas James Forwood (Judge, General Court of the European Union) and Ariane Mittenberger-Huber (Chairperson of the 29th Senate Trade Mark Court, Federal Patent Court, Munich).
