WIPO nominates candidate for new Director General
Whilst this is not really an European trade matter, it certainly is of interest to us all. In a press release of 13 May 2008, which has been published on WIPO's website, WIPO informs that
"[the] Coordination Committee of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) nominated Mr. Francis Gurry, a national of Australia, to become the next Director General of WIPO. The candidate will have to be appointed by the WIPO General Assembly at its next meeting scheduled from September 22 to 30, 2008."Posted by: Birgit Clark @ 12.01
