IP events coming up later this year

In addition to the MARQUES Annual Conference in Berlin in September, readers may be interested in the following events coming up during the autumn:

MARQUES Meet the Judges, Munich

The next Meet the Judges event takes place on 24 November. In line with previous editions, it will be a valuable opportunity to hear from judges in IP cases and ask them questions about current topics of interest.

This event will take place at the German Patent & Trade Mark Office in Munich. More details including how to reserve your place will be available on the MARQUES website soon.

IP Mediation Conference 2023

The EUIPO Boards of Appeal and EUIPO Academy will host the fourth edition of this conference on 19 and 20 October 2023 in Alicante.

It will include speakers and delegates from IP offices, EU institutions and policy makers, lawyers, in-house counsels and other IP practitioners, judges, leading mediation institutions, sectors of international industry, owners of small businesses, international IP users, and ADR training providers, as well as academia. A number of MARQUES members are likely to take part.

More information, including how to register, is available on EUIPO’s website here.

2023 Europol IP Crime Conference

Europol, EUIPO, the Portuguese Economic and Food Safety Authority (ASAE), and the Portuguese Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) will hold the 2023 Europol IP Crime Conference in Lisbon on 26 and 27 October.

This is the fifth in-person edition of the conference. The theme of the conference will be tackling counterfeit goods that pose a threat to health, safety and the environment. A special focus will be dedicated to the use of advanced technology in IP crime.

There is no fee and registration information will be available soon.
