OHIM's new website now "live"
Many of you may have already noticed that OHIM's new website is now officially "live" as of today, 1 July 2008. According to the OHIM the relaunched site
"... includes an improved news service and is designed to cater for the needs of both professional users and newcomers. The design and organisation place greater emphasis on e-business and links to OHIM's databases and forms are available from every page. From now on, users go straight to the front page without first having to choose their preferred language - this is automatically determined according to the language settings in the browser, but can be easily changed and thereafter stored in a "cookie".
The site further
"... includes services such as opt-in e-mail alerts to keep users updated with changes in news items or legal references, and there is an increased use of modern tools to interact with users via discussions and polls. A detailed explaination of the site features has been provided on a dedicated web page - "OHIM website updates". The page includes a video tour and is the best place to find explanations of the site structure and information about services."
This member of Class46 has noticed with some relief that the website's basic search function "CTM online" appears to be unchanged - it can be accessed directly by clicking here.
