EU Commission proposes to "halve the costs for an EU trade mark"
On its website the EU Commission recently (on 26 November 2008) published its communication "A European Economic Recovery Plan", which addresses the economic effects of the credit crunch. The Commission's "... response to the current financial and economic crisis" also includes plans concerning trade marks. On page 14 under the heading "Reduce administrative burdens and promote entrepreneurship" the EU Commission proposes to
"…reduce by up to 75% the fees for patent applications and maintenance and halveTo access the document in its entirety, please click here.
