Who we all are...
Matching pairs: 464 new Similarities
A further 464 new pairs have been added to EUIPO's Similarity database, bringing to 12,359 the number of pairs of goodss and services that have deemed (dis)similar by 30 the participating national and regional intellectual property offices. It's worth bearing in mind that current EUIPO Guidelines state that examiners must consult the Similarity tool and follow its recommendations.
If you'd like to learn more about this you can access the HDB Taxonomy via TMclass or watch a webinar on Similarity. For further details please contact information@euipo.europa.eu.
Class 46 urges readers to find out more about Similarity, since it appears that many users of Europe's trade mark systems don't know much (or anything!) about it. If you are attending this year's annual MARQUES Conference in Alicante, you can attend a Workshop dealing with Similarity which has been organised by the MARQUES European Trade Mark Law and Practice Team in cooperation with the EUIPO.
