Help shape the EUIPO Strategic Plan 2030
Stakeholders and members of the public can submit their input on the EUIPO Strategic Plan 2030 up to 16 February 2024.
EUIPO states:
The SP2030 will establish a framework to set the course for the EUIPO and the European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN) to take over the next five years by identifying the challenges ahead and defining the main strategic goals and initiatives to effectively address these challenges.
At the heart of this strategy is the EUIPO's vision of transforming into an IP Hub, dedicated to delivering high-value IP services to the public and businesses in collaboration with national and regional IP offices of EU Member States with a particular focus on small and medium enterprises (SMEs), encouraging innovation, competitiveness, and economic growth in Europe.
It has identified five initial strategic areas and goals:
- Optimise operational efficiency and effectiveness towards long term sustainable excellence
- Enhance the value of IP products and services by expanding quality, consistency, and legal certainty
- Improve access to the IP system and promote the use of IP rights in support of innovation-driven economic growth
- Build trust and respect for IP by promoting education, raising awareness, and ensuring greater stakeholder engagement
- Ensure long-term sustainability of the EUIPN by upgrading the network to become a true Community
