Spain - Goverment to publish a "Manual of Best Practices in the Prosecution of Infringing Activities"

The Spanish Minister of Culture Mr. César Antonio Molina has chaired the third meeting of the so-called “Antipiracy Committee”. This Committee is formed by the Spanish Government (Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Justice, Economy, Science and Culture), regional administrations ("Comunidades Autónomas), municipalities, collecting societies and private operators. Its main purpose is to enhance public effective actions against the infringement of Intellectual Property rights in Spain.

The Minister also announced the imminent publication of the “Manual of Best Practices in the Prosecution of Infringing Activities”, a joint initiative of the Ministries of Culture, Justice, the Tax Agency, the Public Prosecutor Office, the Judiciary and the Police. The Government will invest € 2,6 million in advertising the Manual, which main objective is providing legal means to prosecute Intellectual Property infringements in the Internet.
