Responsibilities/Mission:
The MARQUES Council has in principle agreed to create this new team. The team will deal with inter alia litigation and alternative dispute resolution in trade mark and design matters.
As this team is a new team, the Chair and Vice Chairs will be appointed by the MARQUES Executive Committee. This appointment will take place in the next months. MARQUES members can apply for regular membership of this team during the Team Election in the Spring of 2015.

Jeremy Blum

Jeremy is a partner at Bristows and is a specialist IP litigator. He has extensive experience in litigating patents, designs and copyright but has a particular focus on and significant expertise in trade mark litigation. Jeremy has acted in disputes before the High Court, IPEC and Court of Appeal in the UK as well as before the CJEU and before arbitration tribunals under the LCIA and SCC. He also has extensive experience in trade mark registry disputes and at OHIM. Jeremy qualified in New Zealand in 2002 and worked at AJ Park until 2007 when he went to London to join Bristows

She also deals with all aspects of franchising, data protection and the competition aspects of intellectual property. In addition, she has extensive experience in dealing with issues affecting e-commerce and the internet, all aspects of technology agreements, all types of media contracts and the intellectual property aspects of employment.

Alberto is a partner in the Turin office of Jocabacci & Associati, which he joined in 1996.
His practice covers all areas of IP, with a focus on IP litigation, as well as competition law and commercial agreements of all kinds. He routinely acts for major international clients assisting them in devising and implementing IP rights enforcement strategies. He has acted in landmark cases before the Italian courts, including the Supreme Courts and the European Court of Justice.
Alberto is a frequent speaker on various IP issues from enforcement procedures to the protection of confidential information and trade secrets. He also lectures on antitrust law at the Master in Intellectual Property law course jointly organized by the University of Turin and the WIPO

He graduated from Leyden University in 1992, after writing his thesis at the University of San Francisco. Tobias specialises in intellectual property law, in particular trade mark and design law. His practice also extends to copyright, advertising and media law. Tobias is a Supreme Court litigator, WIPO arbitrator under the ICANN rules and an arbitrator in .nl domain name disputes.
Tobias is the primary author of the handbook European Trademark Law, Kluwer Law International 2010.
