Sandra is an IP lawyer at the Frankfurt office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP focusing on IP litigation in trademark, design and unfair competition disputes. She has represented clients from the luxury brand and consumer goods industries in various infringement proceedings before the German courts and in cancellation and opposition proceedings before the GPTO, the EUIPO and the ECJ. Sandra holds a German PhD (Dr. iur) in comparative law on publishing agreements and copyright and lectures on IP and unfair competition law at University of Hanover law school.

Charlotte, a Trade Mark Attorney at Boult Wade Tennant, holds a Biology BSc (Hons) and a Management of Intellectual Property MSc, for which she was awarded the GlaxoSmithKline Prize. She has also obtained a postgraduate certificate in Intellectual Property Law from Queen Mary, University of London. Charlotte has presented at the ITMA Spring Conference and regularly on behalf of Boult Wade Tennant. Charlotte has written various articles for the ITMA Review and other IP and business related publications. Charlotte sits on the Marques Education Team and ITMA’s Education and Training Committee

Michael chairs the IP Department at Arent Fox LLP. He specializes in domestic and international trademark, copyright, advertising and e-commerce litigation. He has represented clients in civil actions and appeals in state and federal courts throughout the United States and in hundreds of opposition and cancellation proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He also has broad experience in assisting clients with worldwide trademark and copyright selection, clearance, registration, and enforcement.
Perley-Robertson, Hill & McDougall, LLP
Jennifer has been working as a trademark attorney since 1993, mainly in private practice but also as Assistant Director of the Canadian Trademarks Office and as a Hearing Officer on the Canadian Trademarks Opposition Board. She manages a number of Canadian and international trademark portfolios and represent clients before the Canadian Trademarks Opposition Board and the Federal Court of Canada. She was an adjunct professor of trademark law at the University of Ottawa, is on the Editorial Board of the Canadian Intellectual Property Reporter, has been active INTA and has been a Director of H’Art of Ottawa, a non-profit art studio for adults with developmental challenges.

SB.Sc. (Comp. Sc.); Solicitor B.C.L; European Patent Attorney; European Trade Mark Attorney. Shane has practiced as a Solicitor since qualifying in 1982 and specialises in Intellectual Property. He has been a Partner in FRKelly since 1989.
In order to expedite implementation of the Trade Mark Harmonisation Directive, Shane drafted Trade Mark legislation which was introduced as a Private Members Bill and was a precursor to the Irish Trade Marks Act, 1996. Shane was Chairman of the Trade Marks and Designs Committee of the Association of Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys (APTMA) and in this role provided advice to APTMA members during the passage of both the Trade Mark and Design primary Legislation in Ireland.
Shane has degrees from both Trinity College (BSc Computer Science) and University College Dublin (BCL). He is a regular guest lecturer on computer law and intellectual property for both universities and is frequently invited to speak at international conferences, business seminars and workshops. Shane gives annual tutorials to students sittingthe Irish Trade Mark Attorney examinations and provides assistance to the Irish Patents Office in the reviewing of Trade Mark exam scripts.
He most recently co-authored the fourth edition of the leading Irish legal textbook on intellectual property, ?Intellectual Property Law in Ireland? (Clark, Smyth & Hall, 4th edition, Bloomsbury Professional, 2016).
Shane was also a member of The Scientific Committee advising the EU Commission regarding the registration of geographical indications of origin. He is a former President of AIPPI (Irish Group), a current Council Member of MARQUES (The Association of European Trade Mark Owners, a Committee Member of ECTA (European Communities Trade Mark Association) and is a member of the EPI Disciplinary Committee.
Shane has a specialist interest in licensing and assignment of intellectual property and is a leading authority on Design matters. While his client base has a local and international reach, he is closely involved in international intellectual property protection for indigenous Irish companies.
